Since the 402E was very popular, it is a huge luck that so many documents remain from these former times and allow us to relive the business history.
As well worth noticing here, that Mr. Stern developed the 402 family.
4 models were made:
The stove-top 402,
The electrical 402E,
The stove-top 405 (just bigger in size),
and the electrical 405E.

A machine which meant a lot for Mr. Stern, so much that he incorporated it to his business letter papers:
(on the letter, one can see the first 402E model without bakelite base and with straight bakelite handle)
This early machine can now be found in Mr. Del Piccolo's collection and is very rare indeed.
